There are various therapy styles available, some of which are likely to be of more relevance to emetophobes than others. 

PSYCHOANALYSIS: Involves a skilled probing into the patient's mind to reveal the origins of unconscious repressed feelings, thoughts and motives. 

It may help explain WHY we have a particular problem but will not necessarily help us overcome it. You would be encouraged to say whatever springs into your mind and the therapist attempts to work out what is in your unconscious - working on the basis that the existence of this unconscious mind underpins everything and problems stem from unconscious influences which are often rooted in childhood. 

The therapy is based on a one-to-one relationship with the therapist and will usually take 1-3 years.  As therapy is long-term, you are advised to check what the financial outlay will be before committing yourself to a course of psychoanalysis.
